Frequently Asked Questions
What is e-Giving?
E-Giving is short for electronic giving. E-Giving provides a method for making contributions through electronic (i.e. web) means in a manner similar to when you purchase something on Amazon or eBay.
Why use e-Giving?
Our society is shifting away from purchasing with cash and checks and moving toward electronic commerce. E-Giving provides a convenient option for those people who prefer using electronic payments. For example, e-Giving allows you to set up regular contribution schedule which means you don’t have to remember to write your contribution check if you go on vacation or on travel for work.
Who is e-Giving?
CLBC has chosen Lifeway to provide this service which they call e-Giving. LifeWay Christian Resources exists to assist churches and believers to evangelize the world to Christ, develop believers, and grow churches by being the best provider of relevant, high quality, high value Christian products and services.
How do I start using e-Giving?
Click the “e-Giving” button above and it will take you to the e-Giving website and login page for you to complete a short member profile. At this point you can use the system for credit or debit card transactions. However, if you want to take advantage of the electronic fund transfer (i.e. electronic checks, bank drafts) option you must complete a member ACH form. When it has been completed, you will be authorized for Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT's). You can then go back into the system and enter your EFT specifics. Once you have created an account you can specify the amount, the frequency, and the method you would like to use.
Is it secure?
Yes, Lifeway uses State of the Art monitoring and management systems, Secure, efficient use of existing LAN/WAN links and virtual infrastructure, Backup data is encrypted, and it is PCI Compliant – Independently assessed and verified quarterly through Security Metrics.
