No one is a Christian alone. No one. Like it or not, we are on this journey of faith together. We are brother and sister. We are community. We are Jesus in skin. And if that is true, it dramatically changes the way we live.

 

Singles are invited to be transformed on Saturday, September 25 at Clear Lake United Methodist Church at 7pm as Terry Hershey speaks on “Jesus In Skin.” Author, humorist, inspirational speaker, ordained minister, golf addict, Terry divides his time between designing sanctuary gardens and sharing with the world his practice of “pausing” and “sanctuary” to help us do less and live more.  To hear Terry is not just to gain information. It is an experience. And everywhere Terry speaks, the feedback is unanimous, “Terry Hershey was truly humorous, enlightening and inspiring all in one. He gave us permission to be embraced by grace. He was truly a highlight of our year!”

Singles of all ages are asked to come "break spades" together in a Spades Tournament on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 2-6 PM at Clear Lake Baptist Church. There will be a prize for the winning team. You may wish to recruit your own partner, but that is not required, as partners can also be assigned at the event. Bring a snack to share. This will be a lot of fun, and we look forward to seeing you there! Dinner will follow at a local restaurant.
