An Entertaining Thought...

In the past, the music ministry brought to us the music, drama, and teaching of Jeff and Debbie McElroy Family Ministries; the choirs of Houston Baptist University's renowned worship teams, "Focus" and "Refuge"; Christian recording artist/worship leader, Jeff Berry; and Pianist Joseph Martin. We look forward to bringing more outstanding musical events to Clear Lake City in the future.

For now, check out the opportunties you have to facilitate worship here at CLBC!

The Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir leads in the worship services every Sunday morning with special music and anthems. Rehearsals are conducted every Wednesday evening at 7PM, and child care is provided. Focusing on Christ throughout the year, the choir performs musicals and special pieces during Christmas and Easter to help celebrate these important holidays.

The Praise and Worship Team

The Praise and Worship Team meets at 9AM on Sundays and is available to adults who wish to participate more in leading the service in contemporary praise songs. This team often joins the choir during the 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning worship service. Contact Jeff Nelson to audition.

The Youth Praise Band

The Youth Praise Band performs contemporary praise and worship music each week during The Maze Youth Worship Service on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.  Auditions are held annually.

"From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise" - Psalm 8:2

Preschool and Children's Choirs

Wednesdays at in the fall, children's choirs are available for ages 3 through the 5th grade. Focusing on praise and worship, we encourage each child in their musical abilities. Through stories, games, musical instruments, activities and songs children learn biblical principals in an exciting way.

The children's choirs "share" what they have learned in "Big Church" several times during the year. The 3rd-5th graders perform musicals or special programs from time to time. They also perform at nursing homes or in the community, sharing their love for Jesus with others.

"Awake, harp and lyre! I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations" - Psalm 108:2-3
