Freddy Coronado

El 4 de enero del año 2009, la Iglesia Bautista de Clear Lake (CLBC, según sus iniciales en Inglés) celebró su primer servicio de adoración completamente en Español, con su pequeña congregación de habla Hispana, para la cual el hermano Jose Alfredo (Freddy) Coronado funge como Pastor. Todo esto, después de que a principios del año 2008, el hermano Freddy aceptara el llamado del Señor para servir en el ministerio y que CLBC le apoyara al recibir su licencia como Ministro del Evangelio ese mismo ano. 

Freddy se hizo miembro de CLBC en el año 2005 y ese mismo año, Dios estableció la primera clase de escuela Dominical en Español en CLBC bajo la dirección del hermano Freddy. Desde entonces, él ha estado ocupado siendo voluntario en una variedad de actividades dentro de la iglesia, entre estas cabe mencionar el comité financiero, dos viajes misioneros a la frontera Mexicana, así como también liderando la reunión de oración en Español los miércoles hasta la fecha. En el 2006, el hermano Freddy fué ordenado Diácono, convirtiéndolo en el primer Diácono Hispano en la historia de CLBC. 

Antes de que el Señor le llamara a CLBC, el Hno. Freddy era miembro de La Iglesia Cristiana Evangélica de South Houston, donde también era Diácono. Durante sus 8 años de membrecía allí, Freddy también estuvo involucrado en el ministerio radial, ministerio de jóvenes, de drama, predicación y alabanza, entre otros.

El Hno. Freddy explica que a él se le ha dado el privilegio de compartir las Buenas Nuevas de Jesucristo en su idioma natal, el Español, tanto pública como individualmente y que él ha sido bendecido con el gozo de bautizar a muchas personas de la comunidad Hispana.

Freddy trabaja tiempo completo como Gerente de Contabilidad en una firma de Ingeniería Petroquímica local, habiendo obtenido su Diploma de Perito Contador así como, estudios de Ingeniería Industrial en la Universidad en su nativa Guatemala. Freddy y su esposa Sharon, viven en Seabrook junto con sus tres hijos: Kevin, 17; Meghan, 10 y Emily, 6. Como entretenimiento, la familia disfruta practicar la natación, noches familiares y trabajar juntos en proyectos de su casa.

On January 4, 2009 Clear Lake Baptist Church (CLBC) celebrated its first Spanish Worship Service with its small Hispanic congregation, for whom Jose Alfredo (Freddy) Coronado, serves as Pastor. Brother Freddy accepted the Lord’s calling to serve God in the Ministry at the beginning of 2008, and CLBC supported him to become a Licensed Minister of the Gospel that same year. On Sunday, April 18, 2010, Freddy was ordained as a pastor of CLBC.

Freddy became a CLBC member in 2005, and that same year God established in CLBC the first Spanish Sunday School class under brother Freddy’s leadership. Ever since, he has been busy volunteering in a variety of activities and duties within the church, including the finance committee and two mission trips to the Mexican border. He leads the Spanish prayer meetings on Wednesday nights as well. In 2006, brother Freddy was ordained Deacon, becoming the first Hispanic Deacon in the history of CLBC.

Before God called him to CLBC, Brother Freddy was a member at Iglesia Cristiana Evangelica de South Houston, in which he also served as Deacon. During his 8 years of membership, Freddy was active in different ministries such as the radio ministry, youth ministry, drama, preaching, and worship, among others.

Brother Freddy explains that he has been privileged to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in his native language, Spanish, both publicly and individually. He has been blessed in having the joy to baptize many believers from the Hispanic community.

Freddy, works full time as the Accounting Manager at a local Petrochemical Engineering firm, having obtained his Accounting degree, as well as some schooling in the Industrial Engineering area of the University in his native Guatemala. Freddy and his Wife Sharon live in Seabrook along with their three children: Kevin, 17, Meghan, 10, and Emily, 6. As entertainment, the family enjoys swimming, family nights and working together on house projects.
